Photo's from the games!

It's been awhile since I last posted. Here's some photo footage of the MM Forces against the Coyotes and Bulldogs. We won our last game against the Six Shooters and are still undefeated! More to come about that game later.

Another game-another Saturday-another win!

It's another Saturday again to wake up at the crack of dawn & stay all day down at the field in 115 degree heat. The boys both won their games against the Cardinals. Robbie's team was something like 40-0. Here's how it all went down for Robbie:

Special Forces 2 games, UNDEAFETED!

Both boys have won both their games against the Coyotes and the Rams. This week's games against the Rams were expected to be tough, as the Rams in Robbie's division won the championship last year and we lost both times to them. However, the score was 19-6. Robbie scored the third touch down and extra point. He actually had another touchdown but they had a penalty on it. And on the last play of the game, as safety, he tipped the ball away from their all-star player #98 (sorry if anyone reading this knows this Rams player) so they didn't score, saving the game and we won!

Jace's division was 45-0. Hmmm, hard to write about this destruction without sounding un-sportsmanlike, but hey-gotta tell it like it is, right? I'm a proud parent, gotta gloat when I can! Jace had 4 or 5 touchdowns.
Check out the clips of each of their games. And on a side-note, if you go to www.styfl.com on the homepage, the top photos will start scrolling. Robbie is featured on the 3rd picture. He's #18.

Back to School, Back to Football!

The boys started football. Two weeks for two hours every night, every day during the week. We don't usually see our house until 8:30 at night! It was very hard during the week school started because trying to have dinner, showers, and bedtime at a decent time was really difficult. I feel like a champion to have made it through the full two weeks of practice, and I didn't even have to coach or practice!
Robbie wants to play runningback.

Jace wants to be quarterback this year.

Barrett just wants to play football like the boys. He loves wearing their helmets, and wants to be out on the field all the time!
Kendra had her first day of kindergarten on Monday. She has been so excited for it since she finished preschool. I think nerves caught up to her because she would not smile at all for any picture! The teacher let her choose her desk, and she saw the first one and threw her backpack down. I wanted to get a picture with her by her desk and she just stood there and wouldn't smile at all! She didn't cry, but she wouldn't go and play either.
Robbie went into middle school and I had to call out for him to stop as he was walking so far ahead, and I wanted to get a picture of everyone before he took off. I guess walking with the family on the first day of school is just not cool for him anymore!

Jace went into 3rd grade this year, and he didn't mind walking with us. He was excited for the first day of school. The last part of the summer he was ready to go back because he was so bored. So Chris took him to his class, and he was happy.

Happy Father's Day Chris! Yeah, ok, the kids don't really know your exact age, there's some confusion on exactly where you work at and who your best friend is, and there's no consensus on your favorite food or favorite store. Just shows how complex a personality you have...or multiple personalities. But all kidding aside, I love you and all the hard work and effort you put in with the kids in coaching them, teaching them right and wrong, and bringing them up in the gospel. You're an awesome dad and a fantastic husband!

Drag out the trailer house and the wife-beater tanks-the Bonds are going redneck this week!

It's time for summer haircuts! But first before the buzz cut comes, the boys get to wear mohawks. Even Barrett got one. It was his very first haircut and I was sad. His hair is the most like Chris before he lost it all-naturally curly especially when it's humid. I really wish he'd given this to Kendra as it's wasted on a boy. I kept it while it lasted, but knew we'd have to cut it eventually. So Barrett got his first haircut, while Robbie was promised this was his last summer he'd have to wear his hair this way. Robbie's getting to the age that he's starting to worry about how he looks. My favorite part during the haircutting process was him asking if it was going to grow back because dad "lost his hair at a young age" to which Chris reponded, "yeah, but not that young of an age!"

You Gotta Love Marshalls & Ross!

Ahh, shopping at Marshalls and Ross is always an adventure with Chris. It's one of his favorite stores besides Dicks. I have to be in a good shopping mood to go in there with him as it takes him HOURS to shop there. I actually like the store, but I'm usually done within a fifteen minute to the most half-an-hour range, which leaves me wandering aimlessly for a very long time. I got Chris a gift card to Marshalls this Christmas which I thought was appropriate for him. I was going to do Ross too, but forgot that there was one on my way home from work.

So, last week Chris and I met on our lunch break. I thought I had agreed to meet at Fiesta Mall, but he told me to go to the Marshalls/old Best Buy parking lot and promised we would eat. But to our amazement there was a store closing sign in front of the Marshalls store with the entire store an additional 20% off! I figured it was worth it to skip lunch and check it out. Needless to say, I was late getting back to work. Then the next day, my assistant manager called me at work to tell me she saw Chris in there again when she went. I was kind of not surprised.

They always have lots of Quiksilver, Hurley stuff for the boys. But one of the things we are always on the lookout for is Nike Football shirts. Even Barrett has a collection going just like his big bro's. I get a big kick out of the littler sizes when Chris finds them and brings it home. Here's a pic just a few of the shirts from our stash for Barrett.
