Tribute to James Bond and all the wonderful Bond Girls.

I wanted to pay homage to Bond, James Bond. Seeing as the new movie is almost upon us, I have compiled a list with photos of some of the best Bond girls ever. To start the list off we have my brother Mikey's favorite Bond girl,
Grace Jones. That was really a joke as I believe that is my families least favorite Bond girl. Anyways, the next on the list is......

Aki is from my favorite Bond movie, You only live twice. Coming in next is .....

I won't tell what her name was as I don't want to offend the few people who read my blog, however she is in the movie Goldfinger. Moving on......

Ahhhhhh Domino, what a wonderful name, and what another great movie, got to love Thunderball. We're now entering the best of the best, the top 3, in interest of time and space on my blog, at #3 we have.....

Now she may not have been the most believable Nuclear Physicist that has ever been played, but she was good at looking good. At number 2.5,I just have too many to choose from so I had to squeeze another one in here, we have.....

Ursula was the originator of the Bond girl phenomenon and she set the bar very high. At #2 we have.....

That's right, Solitaire. From one of the great Bond movies Live and Let Die. She definitely had an amazing gift.....being able to tell the future with her cards that is. And finally at #1, may I have a drum roll please.........................

That's right Laura Bond is THE number one Bond Girl. Just like the movies say Nobody Does it Better, The World is Not Enough, etc etc. She is by far the most beautiful, the most intelligent, and the most intriguing of all the Bond Girls which is why I put her at the top of the list. If your list differs from mine then I am sure we can at least agree on #1. I hope you enjoyed my list and I hope you all go and see the new Bond movie coming out this week.

Vote!!!!!!

I wanted to encourage all 3 people who read my blog today to go out and vote. I am not going to encourage you to vote for one person(McCain) over another. I want all to be proud of our country and (McCain) also if you don't vote, you can't (McCain) complain over the next 4 (McCain) years. Unfortunately this is a major crossroad in our countries future and I hope that our elected leaders remember that they represent us and not party or interest group. I hope and pray that the lord will continue to watch over our nation and protect us even if it is from ourselves. I pray that we are not at the station of the pride cycle where we abandon God and ultimately plummet into destruction. Where our once great country will be preyed upon by outside countries. And if that is to be our lot, then we must prepare our families and children to withstand the onslaught of evil that will surely accompany the last days. I know that God is with us today as he was in the days the country was founded, it is just that we don't listen or follow the promptings we are given. I hope that we are all mindful of the promptings we receive and are not afraid to act upon them. Trust in the Lord as he will always prepare a way. Don't allow frustration and disgust to lull us into inaction as a way of protest. If there is something that is worth believing in then that is something worth fighting for. This country is such a thing and I hope all who read this will act as well and actively fight for it's survival.

Now that I have tangent-ed all over the place in that lengthy diatribe, I hope we all vote and take part in our countries political process. And don't forget, you get a free doughnut at Krispy Kreme if you wear your I voted sticker. Cheers.

Softball Sadness!

I never thought I would live to see the day that a church softball game would fail to have enough players to play. We recently had our softball season and had over a series of 6 games, a total turnout of 3 players for 3 games and 7 players for one game. I can remember not too long ago, ok maybe it was a long time ago, but I remember in the ward I grew up in there was an A team and a B team for the mens teams. We couldn't have even fielded a Z team. Softball games were the hangout of choice for the younger crowd, and always was a destination of choice when games were being played, regardless if your ward was playing or not. I find it sad and disappointing that the passion and fire for this great game of little skill is no longer a priority for the modern day weekend warrior. Hopefully the one thing I can instill in my boys is the importance for sports and playing them whenever possible. Do I hear a turkey bowl coming, we better have more than 4 people show up for that or I am going to have the whole ward running sprints.

New videos for your enjoyment.

I was digging around the fridge last night and I felt I had a hankerin' for a hunk of cheese. So I was instantly transported back to my childhood where the dancing lemon Timer, would give us snack advice, typically on a Saturday. Those were the good ol' days. Even the commercials were good back then. I don't even think they have Saturday morning cartoons anymore, and if they do I am sure they stink. I hope you enjoy the ones I picked out, I should have a few more for you in the next day or two.

Xanadu!

I know I am a total dork but man you have got to love Xanadu. What a great collection of music. And Olivia Newton John, wow she was so hot back in the day. I think that might be why I liked the movie so much, I was busy watching her instead of paying attention to the actual storyline. Now mind you, the last time I saw this movie was when I was 11 if I remember correctly. I'm sure if I watch it now it would be totally retarded, so I will not re watch it that way I will always have fond memories of Xanadu. I included some of that fantastic music for your listening pleasure. I must warn you though, one listen and you will be hooked forever, there is no going back. I'm going to go get my roller skates on now and see if I can find myself an Olivia Newton John muse.

Pics from the game.

Apparently Laura overheard the coach from the other team asking his kids why they couldn't grab that little boys flags. He didn't seem too happy and it only got worse from there. Enjoy.

Football Update.

We just had two more games on Saturday. Jace's team won the first game 30-6. Jace threw for one touchdown and ran for another one. Laura was trying to take pictures but ended up with a lot of pictures of the ground or the kids chasing Jace. He was juking the kids and the camera. What he is able to do on the field is just nasty. I don't think it is really fair for the other kids who try to get him. The second game they lost 7-0 in what was a really good game. The only touchdown that was scored should have been called back as they illegally blocked one of our safeties to run for the touchdown. The offense is getting really good and the defense is downright nasty. The last team we played usually averaged about 30 points a game so that shows how good they are doing. I am really proud of them as they have been working really hard and are starting to play as a team. If you're in town and want to have a good time watching some really good football, stop by on a Saturday evening.

Wife Pleaser.

I hope my wife is happy with the addition of the pictures. I put the football pics in I had been promising as well as added some of Kendra after she got into the lipstick. On a side note, both Jace's and Robbie's team only had one loss. Jace played the last game of the season with a broken arm. We had thought he had just sprained his elbow, but it turned out he had broke the tip of the radial head which is on the upper arm. Right where the elbow is. He played the whole game with it until the end when someone tackled him and landed on it. Keep in mind this is flag football. They both had lots of fun.

The difference between boys and girls!

No new epiphany yet!

I have been informed by my wife that I am in need of pictures on the blog. She is not certain what kind of pictures, just pictures. I haven't had any epiphany yet in regards to new subject matter, I think I have been in a constant state of brain incapacitation. Typically I am not at a loss for words, however, nothing is coming. I am thoroughly embarrassed. I will try to come up with something good here in the near future. Oh, and the pictures too.

Shave and a hair cut........two bits!

Ahhhhh, what a wonderful thing. Who would have thought that just a hair cut and a shave can make you feel so much better. I think I was entering the 2nd stage of chia pet hair growth. Now it is back to normal, almost non existent. The shave was nice as well. Everything is so soft now except for the goatee. Got to grow it for football season. A coach has to look tough to scare his players you know. I will have to post pictures from last years football season. A little fatter of course back then but you can see the coaches goatee. The grass is finally starting to go dormant so I mowed it for the last time today. Yeah. I should have the last of the bushes trimmed this week and I will be done and ready for a long and happy winter. I don't think I have any other things to ramble about now. Maybe I will come up with something tomorrow.

Latest updates from the land of milk and honey.

Well Jace finally had his first football game last Saturday. He had fun and played really well. He actually scored our only touchdown on an interception which he ran back for a touchdown. I will try to upload video of it eventually. I was really the only bright spot in the game as there was a lot of mental mistakes and listening mistakes. It was a definite learning experience for me. Jace's team was definitely the better team out there but just didn't execute the plays. There was about 4 different times they should have scored but made mental mistakes. Thank goodness we have two practices this week. The worst part of the whole loss was the team was the Patriots, and true to form, the coach whined and cried on every play to get penalties. Wow that was pretty sad to see a grown man doing that. We finally started up ward softball and had our first practice on Saturday afternoon. To give you an understanding of the commitment of our ward, we had 3 people show up to practice and that includes me. Last time we played as a ward, we were mercy ruled, I think we scored 1 run that game. Hopefully we will get more people to turn out for the next practice, because the first game is on Friday. After all that physical activity and fun on Saturday, both Kendra and myself got sick. I think it was from the scalping of the grass and the big storm that blew through in the middle of Jace's game. That was a lot of fun to try to throw a football in, 25-30 mph winds, I felt sorry for the kids as it was their first game. We both ended up with a really bad cough and stuffy/runny noses. She ended up sleeping in our bed that night, so needless to say both Laura and myself got very little to no sleep. Hopefully the next update will be more entertaining, until then.

Peace!

More Music! Yeeeaaah!

I put some new songs on. The first two are for Becky. I put them in that specific order in case you can't bear to listen to the second of the two songs. The other songs are. can you guess. more Pink Floyd. Welcome to the machine, Have a Cigar, and Learning to fly. What a group of classics, WOW.

Asta!

Can't find it!

I can't believe it, I have been looking for a comment window for my main page but to no avail. I might have to brush off my IT degree and make one. Wow that would not be fun. Oh well back to searching the web for hours. If anyone knows of an app I can use that would allow comments on the main page kind of like a comment window, let me know.

Peace.

No Pressure Here!

OK, so it has been brought to my attention that I need to post more frequently. Frankly I am a bit concerned about the quality of the content being affected by the quantity. I want all to know that all efforts to increase production have been made. If you see some post in the future filled with blah blah blah then you know that the quantity has exceeded the quality. Unfortunately my family doesn't make enough news on a daily basis to be entertaining. I have been toying with the idea of just making stuff up though. Imagine the freedom that would give whilst making a post. Wow. I did, on an interesting note, change the water filter in my fridge yesterday. What an adventure. I have been told my services are in high demand for helping to set up Gymboree stores around the valley. I'm sure it is because they only have to pay me 7.50 and hour. Well that's my random info of the day. Hopefully I will have better news on the morrow.

Until ting jiu jouh.

New slideshow, yeehaw.

I just put up a new slideshow. It is from the fashion show we just had for Gymboree. My three and a cousin as well as some of the other workers children were the models. It was good fun for the kids and the parents got to take some pictures too. There was a magazine there as well taking pictures, we just have to figure out who it was so we can get the pictures. Jace was supposed to have his first football game on Saturday as well but they had a problem with the lights so they cancelled it. He was pretty upset, although I , being his coach, was slightly happy as it gave us another week to practice. The team and kids are awesome and practice really hard. I think that they can win the super bowl for their league. They are really excited. Jace is still disappointed that it was cancelled and complains about it continuously. We had the primary program today in church and the kids all did fantastic. Hope all is well with everyone.

Peace.

New and Improved!

In case you didn't notice, I have changed the background from a beautiful Hawaiian beach scene (one of my favorite places) to that of my most favorite place in the world, Hong Kong. What a beautiful skyline eh! I am sure Laura won't appreciate this background as much as she is partial to Hawaii (the place we met) and I told her that is why I picked it for a background. Well I got a little antsy today and decided to change the background.
I also posted some of our old pics from about 06 I believe. The kids were so cute and very cooperative. It was just after church and the kids were already in the house when Laura got the idea to take pics. Jace wasn't happy as he was half way undressed when Laura told them all to go back outside. If you notice in one of the pictures, Jace's pants are still unbuttoned and belt undone, I believe. Aah memories. I will try to get some new photos soon. Also if there are any songs you wish to have added to the album, let me know. I will try to keep it up to date.

Pink Floyd Rocks!!!

Sad news on the music front this week as one of the founding members of Pink Floyd died. Anybody who knows me knows that Pink Floyd is my number one favorite in music. Fortunately they haven't been producing anything for a long time so there isn't any loss of new music but it is still sad none the less. Only reason I was reminded of this was the music came on was Pink Floyd.
Peace y'all.

Hola from the 480!

Sup y'all. I know you are surprised to see someone from this family posting something and creating a blog. Just wanted to let people know we are actually all alive and well. I have been spending all of my time watching the youngest of the kids, Kendra, during the daytime. That usually consists of puzzle hour, where she does 4 or 5 puzzles over and over until she gets frustrated. Then there is movie time which she really enjoys, and finally beauty salon time. That usually happens once or twice a week where she feels she needs to have her finger and toe nails painted. The rest of the time is spent doing homework once the boys get home. I also serve as coach for Jace's football team. We practice twice a week and have our first game of the season coming up on the 20th. Jace is excited as the first game is at night and under the lights. Pretty awesome. Robbie is waiting for his tackle football season to start. He practices with Jace's team from time to time to keep up on his football skillz. Laura has been super lazy lately and lies around the house all day. She says her goal is to be a queen so everybody will serve her and she won't have to move an inch. To all you who know Laura, that was pretty funny. She is always busy and working non stop at Gymboree, while in her free time she is busy writing her 2nd book. She is really excited about it and I must say, as a non biased party, it is pretty good. That's about it for us, I hope all is well for you all out there and drop us a line if you get some time.

Peace!
